New program enhancements

On 04 August 2014, the Priority Guest Rewards program underwent several amendments and revisions. Changes include
  • Eligible members can qualify to receive an additional 5% discount (to 15%) off 'Best Available Rates'
  • Members can access in- stay benefits, rewards & recognition at 550+  Hotels & Resorts around the globe participating in the DISCOVERY program*
  • Qualification to attain or retain mid -tier Silver Membership is 5 eligible stays or 10 eligible room nights in a calendar year
  • Qualification to attain or retain top tier Black Membership is 10 eligible stays or 30 eligible room nights in a calendar year
Access to DISCOVERY in stay benefits, rewards & recognition is automatic for new members joining from 04 August 2014. Members who joined prior to that date must update their online profile at www.pgr.com.au to 'opt-in' to receive benefits when staying at a GHA Partner Hotel or Resort.
On 04 August 2014, the Priority Guest Rewards saw the introduction of new membership cards featuring both Priority Guest Rewards and DISCOVERY logos.
  • Entry level membership cards changed from a Black card to Gold card design
  • Mid-tier Gold membership cards changed to a Silver card design
  • Top Tier Platinum membership cards changed to a Black card design
All current mid and top members were mailed a new membership card whilst current entry level members holding a Black card will receive a new card upon their next stay. All membership cards and numbers remain valid until swapped and all points transferred.
From August 04 2014, the Priority Guest Reward program formally aligned with the Global Hotel Alliance and the DISCOVERY loyalty and recognition program. DISCOVERY operates at 550 hotels representing 32 luxury and upscale brands across the globe as part of the Global Hotel Alliance (GHA). For current GHA partner hotels and brands - www.gha.com We are delighted to offer access to DISCOVERY in stay benefits, rewards & recognition automatically for new members joining from 04 August 2014. Members who joined prior to that date must update their online profile at www.pgr.com.au to 'opt-in' to receive benefits when staying at a DISCOVERY hotel.

No - members cannot 'double dip' and earn Priority Guest Rewards points or count room nights towards tier qualification from a single stay in both the Priority Guest Rewards and DISCOVERY program at the same time.
No, members cannot hold a combined or link Priority Guest Rewards & DISCOVERY memberships for the purpose of qualifying or achieving a higher tier status in either program. Members may continue to hold independent individual memberships in both the Priority Guest Rewards & DISCOVERY programs
No - For the sake of clarity, Priority Guest Rewards member when staying at a PGR hotel in Australia, New Zealand or the UK receive Priority Guest Rewards in-stay benefits and rewards. Priority Guest Rewards member when staying at a participating Partner Hotel or Resort outside the PGR network of hotels & resorts in Australia, New Zealand or the UK receive DISCOVERY in-stay benefits and rewards. DISCOVERY only members staying at a PGR hotel in Australia, New Zealand continue to receive DISCOVERY in-stay benefits and rewards.

Different tiers of membership & joining

Individuals aged over 18 years old can simply enrol online at any of the following websites; pgr.com.au or any Event Hotels & Resorts brand website or any of the participating hotels via the PGR kiosk. Membership is free.
Members will qualify for one of three tiers of membership. Priority Guest Rewards membership (standard tier) Entry Level Membership tier members receive a gold coloured membership card  upon their first eligible stay. Silver Priority Guest Rewards membership (mid-tier)  An individual must continue to stay a certain number of Hotel Room Nights or Hotel Stays at Participating Hotels in the subsequent calendar year at qualify. Currently, 5 Hotel Stays or 10 Hotel Room Nights per calendar year is required to either attain or retain Silver Priority Guest Rewards Membership status. Black Priority Guest Rewards membership (top-tier) For those that complete 10 qualifying stays or 30 qualifying room nights across our participating hotels in a calendar year. Retention of this tier requires 10 qualifying stays or 30 qualifying room nights in the subsequent calendar year.
Gold entry level membership remains valid unless (i) the member attains a higher tier status, (ii) the member chooses to terminate their membership or (iii) the Program Operators cancel the membership In order to attain and or retain Silver status, PGR members must continue to maintain a rate of 5 qualifying stays or 10 qualifying room nights in a calendar year. In order to attain or retain Black status, PGR members must continue to maintain a rate of 10 qualifying stays or 30 qualifying room nights in a calendar year. Members not achieving the retention criteria for their current status will be sent a new membership card for the tier for which they qualify.
No, membership is free.

Benefits of membership

Entry level Gold Priority Guest Rewards Members & Platinum level Priority Guest Rewards Members can receive a 20% discount on bills for food and beverage costs when dining at the Participating Event Hotel or Resort restaurant for up to 4 diners. Black level Priority Guest Rewards Members can receive a 50% discount on bills for food and beverage costs when dining at a Participating Hotels restaurant. Please note the following conditions:
  • Excludes breakfast, mini bar, room service and conference and event F&B
  • The member must be staying in the hotel and be present at the time
  • There are 4 or less people dining at the table
  • There is a single bill
  • The member must present their membership card prior to payment or room charge
  • The 50% Black discount applies to a maximum of 2 diners (to a maximum of 4 diners) with any additional diners receiving the 20% discount
  • A maximum discount of $500 (AUD or NZ) for any transaction.
  • The member F&B discount does not apply in the following instances:
    • At Rydges Port Macquarie
    • At the Art Series Hotels (Cullen, Blackman, Watson, Schaller, Larwill and Johnson hotels)
For the sake of clarity, the PGR membership discount on beverage is only applied when a PGR member is dining within the restaurant or bar with all food and beverage purchases placed on a single restaurant/outlet bill. The PGR membership discount does not apply to members or their guests who are not dining nor for "beverage only" purchases at any restaurant or outlet.
Simply present your Priority Guest Reward membership card upon check-in at any participating hotel, and our front desk staff will swipe your card to apply the Welcome Drink on the card's smart chip. Take the membership card to any of the participating restaurant or bar and present it to the staff to claim your free Welcome Drink. Note - the Welcome Drink must be consumed during the stay in which the drink was acquired and cannot be saved to be use at a later date or subsequent stay.
Members should to request the late checkout at least 24 hours prior to departure Note - Late check-out is subject to availability at the hotel and therefore cannot be guaranteed.
Membership is free and companies that join will receive a unique Corporate ID. The ID can be used to make bookings via any of the following websites: www.priorityguestrewards.com, www.rydges.com . www.artserieshotels.com.au & www.qthotelsandresorts.com or direct with the applicable hotels. Bookings using the Corporate ID receive 10% off the best rate of the day. Membership points or tier volumes are not applicable for any booking made using a Corporate ID.

Membership number / pass / details / unsubscribing

Your membership number is issued as soon as you enrol via a participating website or enrol at a participating hotel via a PGR Kiosk. Members receive a Membership Card and their membership number is shown on that card which is printed upon a first eligible stay at a Event Hotel or Resort  for booking made via www.pgr.com.au or branded website. The format is a capital R and seven digits (RXXXXXXX) You do not need a membership card to make a booking and you can log on to our website using the first \ surname and email combination that was used to enrol.
Passwords are set by the member when they enrol in the Priority Guest Rewards program. If you can't recall your password you need to go to https://www.priorityguestrewards.com/login/ and click 'forgot password?' to fill out your name and email address for an automatic email to be sent with details to allow you to reset.
You can log into your online account and update your information online. Once you've updated or amended your details, click on 'Modify your profile' button and this will automatically update the information in our database.
On regular occasions we will email PGR members exclusive deals, special offers and promotions for our hotels and resorts. Should you wish to unsubscribe from our mailing list and our email distribution lists, click the 'unsubscribe' link at the bottom of our newsletter, otherwise you can email our member services team at www.priorityguestrewards.com.au/contact-us/.
Contact our member services team at www.priorityguestrewards.com.au/contact-us/ and we will cancel your membership for you. No cancellation fees apply should you wish to cancel your membership.
Access to recognition, rewards and in-stay benefits for stays at DISCOVERY Hotels & Resorts hotels is automatic for new members joining after 04 August 2014. Membership card

If you have lost your membership card, you can visit a participating hotel or resort and our staff will replace a lost or stolen card or you can contact our member services team at www.priorityguestrewards.com.au/contact-us/
If you have signed up online, you’ll receive your membership card when you make your first eligible online member booking at www.pgr.com.au  or any Event Hotel or Resort website. Upon making your first eligible online member booking via our websites, we automatically send a request to the applicable hotel for them print and present you with a full membership card upon arrival.

Earning, redeeming and expiry of points

Members can earn Reward Points with each qualifying room night stay where that room night stay has been booked directly online at priorityguestrewards.com or the website of a participating hotel or brand in conjunction with your membership profile. If a booking is made any other way, it will not earn Reward Points. Please note some room rates, such as certain promotional or group booking rates do not earn Reward Points. Reward Points earned per room night stay are 10 points for entry level members, 15 points for Silver tier members and 20 Points for Black tier members.
Yes, if a member books, pays in their name and is a guest in one of the rooms, they may earn Reward Points for up to three rooms for any night stay.
Reward Points take up to 7-10 business days following check- out to appear on your online account. If your reward points do not appear after this period, please contact our Member Services team at www.priorityguestrewards.com and we'll investigate the issue for you.
If your reward points do not appear within 14 business days after your hotel stay departure, please contact our member services team at www.priorityguestrewards.com and we'll investigate the issue for you.
You'll need 150 Reward points for a Reward Room Night booking at all Participating Hotels other than QT Sydney, QT Melbourne or QT Bondi where 300 Reward Points are required. Reward Room Night bookings can only be made direct online at www.priorityguestrewards.com or Event Hospitality and Entertainment websites.  Reward Room Night bookings are based on 2 adults occupying a standard room only, all other applicable charges are the responsibility of the member.
Once you have reached the required number of Reward Points for a Reward Room Night booking you will need to log onto your membership profile, you will notice the option to “Book Now”. Simply click on this link and follow the prompts to redeem a free night at any Participating Hotel or Resort. Note, if the hotel has a 'Free Night Award' available, the ‘Redeem’ button is visible and you are able to confirm your booking. If the 'Free Night Award' option isn't clearly displayed, you are NOT redeeming a reward night and the reservation will proceed and be processed as a standard paid member booking. A Reward Room Night booking covers the cost of a standard double room only. It does not include breakfast and does not cover other costs such as laundry, telephone, meals and drinks. Such costs will need to be paid by the Member. Please note, Reward Room Nights are not offered at The Museum Art Hotel Wellington or during the Ski Season (which runs annually between 01 June to 03 October) at QT Falls Creek and Rydges Horizons Snow Mountains.
No, once your Priority Guest Reward booking is confirmed, points are automatically deducted and cannot be reversed. Please choose carefully as points cannot be refunded.
Redemption free room night stays are subject to availability. Free room night inventory is available each night, but is limited and, once booked at any hotel on any given night, additional Free Room Nights will not be made available. Members should plan and book their Free Room Night redemptions well in advance to ensure the greatest possibility of securing their preferred Free Reward Room Night dates.
From 1 November 2012: For Reward Points to remain active and available for future redemption, the Member must have a Reward Points earning activity in the prior 18 months. If a Member has not had any Reward Points earning activity over an 18 month period (Non-Active Period), then all Reward Points earned by such Member at any time before the end of the Non-Active Period will automatically expire. Furthermore, regardless of a Member's Reward Points earning activity, any Reward Points that have not been utilised 36 months after they were earned by a Member will automatically expire.

  • 20 points - Two Standard Drinks Includes two local or imported standard bottled beers, two tap beers (schooners or similar), two house spirits (rum vodka etc.) two glasses of house red, white or champagne (excludes cocktails, premium sprits or wines)
  • 30 Points - Free Breakfast Includes standard buffet breakfast for one person (excludes espresso coffee)
  • 40 Points - Free Bottle of Wine Includes for one bottle of 'house' White, Red or Champagne as currently listed on each applicable outlets Wine List.
  • 40 Points - Free Main Meal Includes one main meal item to a maximum value of $28. The difference for any main meal item exceeding $28 is charged to the individual. Free Main Meal excludes special event functions and promotions.
  • 80 Points - $50 Gift Card This includes a $50 Rydges Gift Card. The $50 Gift Card is mailed via Standard Australia Post service to the address provided and will take 5-7 days delivery. Cards are issued with a fixed 12 month validity period and can only be shipped to Australian or New Zealand addresses.
  • 150 points – Reward Room Night This offer is for a standard room only and is subject to availability.
  • 300  points - Reward Room Night  at QT Sydney or QT Bondi This offer is for a standard room only and is subject to availability.

To redeem a Priority Guest Rewards points offer at a Participating Rydges, QT, Art Series or Atura Hotel or Resort, members will require a sufficient point's balance and logon to their membership profile at www.priorityguestrewards.com and purchase the offer from the Rewards Shop. Points are automatically deducted from a members account balance and the offer electronically applied to the 'smart chip' on membership card. Members must be an in-house guest and are required to present their membership card upon arrival at the hotel and again at the hotel restaurant or bar to redeem & remove the offer from their membership card.
Yes. Once redeemed, Priority Guest Rewards point are non-refundable and expire if not used within 6 months from the date of issuance. Priority Guest Rewards point's offers cannot be exchanged for cash or any other services.

Making a member reservation

Log on to www.priorityguestrewards.com or direct to the website of a participating hotel and search availability at any participating Hotels & Resorts. If you are travelling outside Australia, New Zealand or the United Kingdom, log onto www.gha.com to make a member booking.
Generally bookings made direct online at www.priorityguestrewards.com or direct online at the websites of participating hotels will earn reward points. However, some promotional room rates and group bookings will not be eligible for Reward Points. If uncertain, please check with the hotel concerned prior to booking.

Discovery

From 01 August 2014, the Priority Guest Reward (PGR) Program was enhanced to allow new members to receive benefits and recognition at Global Hotel Alliance partner hotels in line with the GHA Discovery Program (GHA) Existing members already enrolled in the PGR Program prior to 01 August must opt-in to receive benefits and recognition at Global Hotel Alliance partner hotels which participate in the GHA Discovery program outside Australia, New Zealand and the United Kingdom. New PGR members who join from 01 August 2014 and existing members who opt in accept that enrolment details and transactions records will be shared with the operators of the GHA Discovery program registered in Geneva, Switzerland. This transfer is too purely to enable members to access services, products and information that AHL and/or its subsidiary companies provide and to communicate with members about these services and products. The formal alignment of the PGR and GHA programs sees the creation of a singular PGR GHA membership where eligible members receive PGR benefits when staying at PGR brand hotels and GHA benefits at GHA brand hotels. Members may continue to hold a separate individual membership in either the PGR or GHA programs, but cannot combine those memberships for the purpose of attaining a higher tier or status recognition. Individual members cannot double dip or nominate to receive in- stay benefits, rewards or recognition other than those defined for each program.

This is an amenity such as a Fruit Basket, Chocolate, cheese platter placed into the room of a PGR GHA mid-tier Platinum or top-tier Black member only during their stay at GHA brand hotels. The selection of local l amenity is at the hotels discretion and will generally reflect the hotels personality or region.
Local Experiences are local rewards which can be earned and redeemed by PGR DISCOVERY members when they have achieved on certain room night qualification for stays at GHA brand Hotels only. Please note that GHA Partner Hotels & Resorts don't offer a Free Room option. Members in PGR DISCOVERY can earn Local Experience in different ways: Platinum level Local Experiences are awards are earned
  • Upon attaining or renewing Platinum Level membership (10 room nights at GHA brand Hotel only within a calendar year)
Black level Local Experiences awards are earned
  • Upon attaining or renewing Black Level membership (30 room nights in GHA brand hotels only within a calendar year)
Local Experience awards are designed to provide members with an opportunity to discover the world outside of the hotel or resort giving them access to activities they wouldn't normally be able to do. Local Experiences are authentic, unique and original with further details available at www.gha.com/Local-Experiences.
There are two different levels of Local Experience awards:
  • Platinum Tier
  • Black Tier
GHA Local Experience Awards can only be redeemed and booked in conjunction with an overnight stay at a participating GHA member brand hotel. For the sake of clarity, stays at PGR brand Hotels do NOT count towards qualification of Local Experiences for PGR DISCOVERY members.
Members book Local Experience awards through their online account on gha.com. They click on their chosen award to redeem and will receive a voucher by email detailing the award and further details.
Discovery presently doesn't impose restriction on the number of nights in one stay for any guests to earn credit towards their tier upgrade and Local Experiences, providing they are paying eligible rates.

Rydges Hotels & Resorts were a founding member of the Global Hotel Alliance in 2005 until 2007 with the launch or the Priority Guest Rewards Program. The Global Hotel Alliance continued to grow and now encompasses 32 luxury & upscale member brands with over 550 Hotels located in 54 countries across the globe. The DISCOVERY Program was launched in 2011 and currently has over 3 million+ individual members. Rydges Hotels and Resorts, QT Hotels & Resorts Art Series Group & Atura Hotels formally aligned the Priority Guest Rewards program with the DISCOVERY program on 04 August 2014.
Existing members who joined Priority Guest Rewards prior to 01 August 2014 and who wish to receive recognition and in-stay benefits for stays at GHA brand hotels must "opt in" and update their profile at www.priorityguestrewards.com. This enables a transfer of enrolment details and transaction records to be shared with the operators of the GHA DISCOVERY program registered in Geneva, Switzerland. This transfer is too purely to enable members to access services, products and information that EVENT and/or its subsidiary companies provide and to communicate with members about these services and products.
No, PGR benefits and recognition for PGR DISCOVERY members are only available at PGR brand hotels.

Black tier member benefits include:
  • All the benefits of Silver tier membership, but
  • The ability to earn 20 points with each qualifying night's stay that can be accumulated and used to redeem for free room nights*
  • Late check-out of 3 pm**
  • A 50% discount food and beverage in the hotel restaurant for two people and a 20% discount for others up to a maximum of 6 diners and a maximum discount of $500 AU or NZ.***
  • Access to recognition, rewards and in-stay benefits from 550 hotels around the globe participating in the Discovery program****

Priority Guest Rewards member when staying at a participating Partner Hotel or Resort outside the Event Hotel or Resort network resorts in Australia, New Zealand or the UK receive DISCOVERY in-stay benefits and rewards. DISCOVERY only members staying at an Event Hotel or Resort in Australia, New Zealand continue to receive DISCOVERY in-stay benefits and rewards.
Members will qualify for one of three tiers of membership. Priority Guest Rewards membership (standard tier) Entry Level Membership tier members receive a gold coloured membership card that features both the Priority Guest Rewards and DISCOVERY logo's upon their first eligible stay Silver Priority Guest Rewards membership (mid-tier) An individual must continue to stay a certain number of Hotel Room Nights or Hotel Stays at Participating Hotels in the subsequent calendar year as specified by the Program Operator. Currently, 5 Hotel Stays or 10 Hotel Room Nights per calendar year is required to either attain or retain Silver Priority Guest Rewards Membership status. Black Priority Guest Rewards membership (top-tier) For those that complete 10 qualifying stays or 30 qualifying room nights across our participating hotels in a calendar year.
Entry level membership remains valid unless (i) the member attains a higher tier status, (ii) the member chooses to terminate their membership or (iii) the Program Operators cancel the membership. In order to retain Silver status members must continue to maintain a rate of 5 qualifying stays or 10 qualifying room nights in a calendar year. In order to retain Black status members must continue to maintain a rate of 10 qualifying stays or 30 qualifying room nights in a calendar year. Members not achieving the requalification criteria for their current status will be sent a new membership card for the tier for which they qualify.
